Terms of Use
Acceptance
These terms apply to the Chromogen application, this website, and any purchase you make. By downloading, installing or using Chromogen, or by buying a licence, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your licence
When you obtain Chromogen — whether on a free trial or a paid plan — we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app for your own photography. Your licence works on either platform (Windows or macOS) and is active on one computer at a time; you may move it between your own machines, but running Chromogen on two computers at once requires a second licence. You may not redistribute, resell, rent, sub-license or share your licence key, and you may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the software, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law. We keep all rights in the software itself.
Free trial and paid plans
Chromogen is free to try, with some features limited until you upgrade. Paid plans are available as a monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-time purchase, as shown on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for.
Purchases, billing and refunds
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Prices are shown in US dollars and any applicable taxes are added at checkout. Because a free trial lets you evaluate Chromogen before paying, purchases are generally non-refundable — but we want you to be happy: if the app doesn't work as described, email us within 3 days of purchase and we'll help fix it or arrange a refund. Any refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy.
Your content
You keep all rights to the photos you develop in Chromogen. The app processes them on your device; we claim no ownership of, and no licence to, your work.
Acceptable use
Use Chromogen lawfully. Don't use it to infringe anyone's rights, to process content you have no right to use, or in any way that breaks applicable law, and don't attempt to circumvent licensing or misuse the app's optional integrations.
Updates and availability
We may release updates and improvements over time. A one-time ("lifetime") purchase includes the features described at the time of sale plus future updates to the app for as long as we offer it; it doesn't guarantee any specific future feature, or that the product will be supported indefinitely. Chromogen is available for both Windows and macOS.
Disclaimer
Chromogen and this website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups of your original photos.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chromogen and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app or site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date above and post the current version here; continuing to use Chromogen after an update means you accept the revised terms.
